It’s been a busy couple weeks finishing up holidays and being back at work this week! We’re looking forward to going into a new year of ministry and pray that the Lord would lead you to be involved in an area of ministry at Calvary. The Lord has been impressing upon me the importance of prayer and the need to build relationship within our church body. Reach out to someone this week and let them know that you are thinking of them, and praying for them…..go for coffee with someone and build relationships ourside of Sunday mornings! Plan to get involved in the various opportunities to connect with one another….Backyard BBQ, Islandson fundraiser banquet, Thursday’s Home Group, Saturday Morning prayer.

Plan to serve this year……the preschool Sunday morning class is in desperate need of caregivers for the little ones. Right now we are short 2 Sundays/month; if you’re not already serving, prayerfully consider this area of ministry. Other areas involve Hand Up to Hope, coffee and book table set-up, taking care of communion supplies and setting it up once a month to list a few.Thanks to those who faithfully serve …may God richly bless you!

The final Backyard Fellowship BBQ will be next Friday night, Sept. 10th, starting at 6 pm…..come on out for an evening of fun, food and fellowship! Call the church and let me know if you plan to attend and how many hamburgers/hotdogs are needed.
